Come join veteran Niuean Artist and weaver Sione Falemaka who will share insights into Niuean weaving technique. Lalaga sia tuitui (mariposa stitch) is popularly used in Niue Samoa Tonga Polynesian for the weaving of robust basketries vessels.

Sione Falemaka is a highly regarded weaver, whose work is held in a number of public and private collections, including in the collections of the Museum of Applied Art and Science in Sydney and the Art Gallery of South Australia.
