Get ready to squash it, shape it, roll it, and create magic with clay! Our Term 2 classes are a thrilling adventure where kids can explore the wonderful world of this amazing material. Children will discover new skills and let their imaginations soar at the Clay House, nestled within the Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre.
Our 8-week program is tailor-made for kids in grades 3-6, happening every Tuesday from 4:30 pm to 6.00 pm, starting May 6th, 2025.
Led by the talented ceramicist Valerie Colvin, these classes promise heaps of fun and learning. Valerie, our resident expert, has honed her ceramic craft right here and in her own studio. With a knack for creating art inspired by nature's wonders – think buzzing bees, fluttering dragonflies, colorful flowers, and chirping birds – Valerie invites young artists to explore the calming and joyful world of ceramics in a cozy, supportive environment.
No previous art experience is needed – Valerie will guide kids through every step of the creative process.
All art supplies will be provided. Kids just need to wear closed shoes and an apron for the messier moments!
