PUKARA and CANTO LIBRE in concert
presented by Danilo Hidalgo
Amigos!
PUKARA is thrilled to be performing for the first time in one of Sydney’s best kept secrets, the beautiful CASULA POWERHOUSE ARTS CENTRE.
Saturday 30th July 2022, 7pm (doors open 6.30pm)
Pukara’s music is a fusion between traditional Andean Music, original songs and contemporary Latin music. The band’s members play a variety of instruments from all over Latin-America, with up to 20 instruments on display- thus capturing the echoing melodies typical of the Andes. The music of Pukara has a huge variety of rhythms and different styles. You can hear influences from African, Spanish and native South American music.
On this special occasion, PUKARA will be sharing the stage with CANTO LIBRE, a group of 6 young musicians, embarked on a journey as the new generation carrying on traditional South American folkloric music in Sydney.
Thank you for your continuous support to maintain Latin American culture alive in Australia!
Gracias!
