Join us for a heartfelt and inspiring evening as we celebrate the resilience of the Vietnamese refugee community and pay tribute to the Australians who embraced them with compassion during and after the Vietnam War.

Presented by the Australian-Vietnamese Youth Orchestra (NSW) (AVYO) in collaboration with the BlueScope Youth Orchestra (BSYO) Wollongong Conservatorium, this event features talented young musicians (ages 12-22) from diverse cultural backgrounds, spanning from North Sydney to the South Coast.

Conducted by Michael De Huy from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, the orchestra will perform a poignant selection of Vietnamese music. Through orchestral storytelling, the AVYO and BSYO will explore themes of loss, resilience, healing, and hope, while honouring the vibrant spirit of Vietnamese culture in Australia.

This concert marks the debut public performance of the Australian-Vietnamese Youth Orchestra (NSW), a milestone moment that celebrates the power of music to connect generations, communities, and cultures.

We invite you to experience this unforgettable evening of music that honours the past and celebrates the future.
