CASULA POWERHOUSE ARTS CENTRE and ITALIAN INSTITUTE of CULTURE SYDNEY presents La Prima Cosa Bella

Join us for a wonderful evening of culture and film thanks to our partnership with the Istituto Italiano di Cultura, Sydney. Featuring the very best of Italian Cinema here at Casula Powerhouse.

Each film will be in Italian and will have English subtitles.

Friday 1st July 8pm

In a series of flashbacks, the story of Anna Michelucci, elected the most beautiful mother in a bathing establishment in the summer of 1971, and the difficult relationship with her son Bruno is told. The boy, convinced of the backbiting of his high school friends about his mother's easy morals, had cut off all relations with the woman in adolescence. The opportunity to meet again arises years later, when the woman, in the terminal stage of cancer, is about to die.
