About the exhibition YOORELLGOO MOONEE (SPIRIT WOMEN)

The exhibition takes place in the Marsden Gallery, from 21 October - 10 December 2023.

YOORELLGOO MOONEE (SPIRIT WOMEN) is a multi-media exhibition by Peta Link that showcases her deep connection to her Country, culture and what it means to heal. This exhibition, Peta's first major solo showcase, is the result of the Casula Powerhouse Aboriginal Scholarship Award, awarded as part of the 30th MIL-PRA AECG Exhibition and Prizes in 2022.

Artist Statement
“When creating the works for this exhibition I thought deeply about my culture and what it means to me, in particular my connection to my cultural spirituality and cultural knowledge... Country and my culture embraces the past and informs the future; if I am portraying country and culture in my work, I am giving my inner self to the outside world.” –Peta Link, 2023.
