Exhibitions After Dark: A Time to Thrive
As part of an exciting nighttime activation of Eddie Abd, Katy B Plummer and Leanne Tobin’s exhibitions at Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre, you’re invited to Exhibitions After Dark: A Time to Thrive. Join us for an evening of performance, live work and creative engagements that will not only include artists talks from Abd, Plummer and Tobin but also invite you to discover eight local artists with ancestral threads stitched in the Levant and East Africa. This event offers an opportunity to connect with your own ancestral and cultural practices – and to remember how doing so makes us all thrive.

This lively evening activation highlights the artists and their collaborators through music, performances, workshops and bespoke food and drink offerings.

Curated by DJ Gemma and Nicole Barakat with work by Maissa Alameddine, Kamil and Idil Abdullahi, Yul Scarf, Tania Khouri and Prince Aydin.

Exhibition introductions by artists Leanne Tobin, Eddie Abd and Katy B Plummer and stunning light projection installation, Spirits, by Barkindji artist Maddison Gibbs.

This event is FREE however registrations are required.

DATE: Saturday 20 January 2024
