Come and celebrate the awe and wonder of Lisa Woolfe’s homage to the Australian Raven at the launch of her immersive multi-media exhibition
Birds.
Fascinated by the dynamics of avian flight, Woolfe has spent many hours carefully observing a population of Australian Ravens who live on the edge of Manly Dam in Sydney’s north.
In
Birds, Woolfe has pushed the boundaries of the drawing medium in delightful and technically sophisticated ways. See her lofty sculptural birds constructed from utilitarian materials adorn the ceiling and her huge hand-drawn animations fill the Centre with the joy and wonder of birds in flight.
Birds by Lisa Woolfe is an invitation to pause reality for a moment, engage with your animal senses and imagine the feeling of gentle flight and movement.
Light refreshments will be served.
This is a FREE EVENT – but bookings are ESSENTIAL.
